Police can now name the man who died following the crash on SH30, Awakeri, yesterday.
He was Daniel James, 25, of Ohope.
Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends.
Two others were seriously injured in the two-vehicle crash.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
