Still time to vote for Maori Wards

As at 10am today, 6447 votes had been received in the Whakatāne District’s Māori Wards poll. That represents just over 26 percent of eligible voters.

Voting closes at midday on 19 May, but people returning their votes by mail are advised to post them by Wednesday 16 May at the latest. Alternatively, voting papers can be put in the envelopes provided and placed in the ballot boxes available at the Civic Centre in Whakatāne (until midday on 19 May) and Murupara Library Service Centre (until 4.30pm on 18 May).
