A video showing motorcyclists being knocked from their bikes is circulating on social media.
News Whakatāne has been told the incident happened near Te Teko yesterday however it appears the video may have resurfaced after been made some time ago.
A Police Communications spokesperson said they were looking into the matter, and anyone with information that could assist their inquiries is asked to contact 105.
“There is nothing to suggest at this time that this incident in the video occurred yesterday,” the spokesperson said.
