Three people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Nukuhou near Waimana.
Police were notified at 5pm of an altercation between two groups on SH2, Nukuhou a Police spokesperson said.
“Three people have been seriously injured and inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the incident.
One person was airlifted in a serious condition to Rotorua Hospital a St John Ambulance spokesperson said.
