Rangitāiki Plains Scheme water consumers on the eastern side of the Rangitaiki River are advised that a planned water shutdown between 10am and 2pm on Thursday 16 March has now been postponed. Consumers will be advised of a new date and time for the rescheduled shutdown.

Progress on the Otumahi (Paul Road) Water Supply project means a series of planned water shutdowns are required to bring the project to completion.

The Paul Road Water Supply project will see Edgecumbe and Te Teko isolated from the existing Braemar/Johnson Road supply and these areas supplied by Otumahi (Paul Road) and the Tahuna Road bore. It is expected the project will be completed by 30 June 2017 and the public will be notified of any future shutdowns that may be required.
