This Sunday the Opotiki Dunes Dash and Half Marathon takes place along the stunning Motu Trails, which is part of the New Zealand Cycle Trail Network. This fun “trail run” type event includes a 5km, 10km and 21km track that starts at Opotiki’s Memorial Park and traverses the impressive Pakowhai ki Otutaopuku Bridge and follows the Dunes Trail section of the Motu Trails Cycleway. The event starts at 8.30am. For more information go to the Opotiki Dunes Dash Facebook page.
