Thousands are expected for the second annual Whakatane Seafood Festival this Saturday.

Headlined by New Zealand reggae band, Tomorrow People, the event will feature a stunning line-up of 34 vendors and stallholders including the popular Thomas Fried Bread and their spectacular creamed paua dish.

The festival is held at Te Hau Tutua Reserve (Whakatane Heads) will also feature the Moana New Zealand National Fish Filleting Competition, Open Ocean Whakatohea Mussel Shelling Competition and the popular SUNZ Kina Eating Competition 2020.

All festival proceeds will be donated to Coastguard Whakatane.

The Whakatane Seafood Festival is held at Te Hau Tutua Reserve / Whakatane Heads via Muriwai Drive.

Parking / Transport:
The best place to park is at the back of the Strand. The Whakatane Sport Fishing Club will be providing transport for a gold coin donation.
